Who are the Friends of ET Research?

Formed by Celia and Don Miltz in 1999, Friends of ET Research is a group of dedicated people sharing their time and energy to raise funds for medical research into a rare disease known as Essential Thrombocythemia (ET) as well as other Myeloproliferative Disorders such as Polycythemia Vera (PV,) Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML,) and Myelofibrosis (MF.) The Miltz family became aware of Essential Thrombocythemia after their daughter Stephanie was diagnosed with the disorder following a mini-stroke (TIA) at the age of 16. The group incorporated as Friends of Essential Thrombocythemia, Inc. and is doing business as Friends of ET Research. Their goal is to raise public awareness and fund research efforts to find a cure.
